The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested Sadam Sumaila, a police recruit undergoing training over alleged certificate forgery.
Sadam Sumaila according to close sources is a police recruit at the Pwalugu Police Training School in the Upper East Region.
He is reported to have gained entry into the Police Training School with a forged Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Certificate.
His apprehension came after Sumaila launched a complaint for being taken through training that did not befit his “qualification”. Apparently, he was taken through the training of a general recruit instead of a Senior Officer which he expressed dissatisfaction over.
Upon further investigations, sources say the forged certificate was created in 2020 in order to facilitate his entry into the security service.
The 28-year-old man accredited himself a Second Class Honors (Upper Division) Certificate for a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
